The Ring-necked Pheasant, also known as the ring pheasant or hunting pheasant, is a species of gall-shaped bird native to Asia, which was introduced to Europe in the early Middle Ages. Today it is the most common species you can find in our lands. The males, unlike the females, are more imposing and have a very colorful plumage, mainly reddish, as well as a long tail with red and green patterns. Some males also have a white collar around the neck.
