Babies are fascinated with black and white designs. Right from the start, our cards begin to aid in a baby's cognitive and visual perception because, with developing vision, they are able to see the high contrast pictures. Babies love our Art Cards — from day one they can grab the attention of a newborn. These cards grow with your child as the shapes come together to form patterns, whole images, inspire tummy time activities, and later become flash cards of their animal pals.

Our hand illustrated nature themed Art Cards for Baby are the perfect way to start teaching kids a love for art, design, and the natural world. Each card is two sided with a white on black side and a black on white side, for a unique visual experience with the simple flip of a card.

The six adorable animals in this set include a Crab, Fish, Octopus, Seahorse, Turtle and Whale. Each card measures 5"x7" inches and is printed using environmentally-friendly soy based ink on thick and sturdy cardboard with rounded corners. They feature a matte finish surface that can be wiped clean with a lightly dampened cloth and dried.

Bold, whimsical, hand-illustrated cards that grow with your child. Infants (even newborns!) are initially enchanted by the black and white images while the repeating patterns captivate them and help them focus their visual attention. Foster a sense of calm and aide baby's visual development with our signature Art Cards.

BABY VISUAL DEVELOPMENT
Before a baby learns to reach and grab with their hands or crawl and sit-up, their eyes are providing important information and stimulation for their development. A baby's brain undergoes an amazing period of development from birth to three — producing more than a million neural connections each second. High-contrast imagery offers the best opportunity for newborns to focus on visual stimuli and promotes visual exploration and engagement.

More than just entertainment, visual focus on a stimulus such as art cards can foster a sense of calm and coherence in visually busy spaces. A card placed over a diapering area can be used to redirect attention of wiggly infants, making diaper time a little easier on parents and caregivers. Furthermore, intriguing imagery invites commentary and conversation, encouraging adults to engage more with baby.
