The whale shark is now considered the largest living fish on Earth today. It evolves in temperate and warm waters of all the oceans of the globe which are located in the tropical belt. It is a solitary animal that gathers only at the time of reproduction. The latter is also a mystery to scientists who assume that the females are ovoviviparous. At birth the young whale shark measures between 45 and 50 cm.
